Varbed Zaven Zeytuntsi was elevated to the Order of Defense on 1 June AS 60.

Zaven is a resident of Aneala who joined the SCA through the College of St Basil the Great. His area of expertise is Armenia in the late 16th Century under occupation of the Ottoman Empire, taking inspiration from historical cities such as Jugha, Aintab and Zeytun. Zaven's preferred fencing forms are single rapier, and Turkish sabre and shield (kılıç and kalkan).
